What Are These Mysterious Lines in China’s Desert?

strange tangle of white lines in the Chinese desert has people scratching their heads and wondering who made them—and why. According to a Gizmodo post “Why Is China Building These Gigantic Structures In the Middle of the Desert?”
New photos have appeared in Google Maps showing unidentified titanic structures in the middle of the Chinese desert. The first one is an intricate network of what appears to be huge metallic stripes. Is this a military experiment? They seem to be wide lines drawn with some white material. Or maybe the dust have been dug by machinery. It’s located in Dunhuang, Jiuquan, Gansu, north of the Shule River, which crosses the Tibetan Plateau to the west into the Kumtag Desert. It covers an area approximately one mile long by more than 3,000 feet wide. The tracks are perfectly executed, and they seem to be designed to be seen from orbit.
In examining this mystery there are a few things that should be cleared up. First of all, contrary to the Gizmodo headline, it’s not clear that the image depicts “structures” at all. Because of the angle at which the image is photographed, the lines may simply be flat, like roads. In fact a close look at the image reveals that the lines appear to have sand blown over them in places, suggesting that they indeed have a smooth surface and are low to the ground.
NEWS: The Ethics of Revealing Secrets
The suggestion that the lines were created to be seen from space is dubious at best. An identical claim is often made for theNazca lines, in the Atacama desert of Peru. Those lines, also, are sometimes said to have been designed to be seen from space (one favored—and thoroughly discredited—theory was that the lines were created for visiting extraterrestrials).
The widely-repeated claim that the Nazca lines can only be seen from the air is simply not true, as I discovered when visited the Nazca plains in 2006. In fact, many of the lines can be seen from nearby hills and mountains—no airplanes or spacecraft needed.
In both cases, just because the lines canbe seen from high above does not mean that they were intended to be seen from orbit. Then there are the wild suggestions that the lines are “perfectly executed” (whatever that means), or “metallic” (because only metal can look white from above?).
So what is the strange set of lines? Theories range from UFO landing strips to top-secret weather-controllingweapons to nuclear testing ranges (people living nearby towns might want to know about this).
NEWS: China Micro-blogging Sites Censor ‘Egypt’
At this point no one really knows for sure, but the most likely explanation is that it’s a military target practice range. It is in fact only one of several similar sites in the area, and at least one of the others has airplanes sitting in the center of it. As Paul Marks of New Scientist points out, “Clearly, it is some kind of military target for airstrike or gunnery practice. Another 4 x 4 piece grid some 200 meters across has some pieces clearly blown to smithereens, again supporting the target practice theory, and a dummy runway in garish bluish-white is probably for… air-to-ground strafing practice.”
Of course this explanation won’t sit well with the conspiracy-minded crowd; it’s much more fun to think it’s Chinese equivalent of Area 51 than a boring old target range.

The Assassination of Gaddafi …

The killing of Muammar Gaddafi at the hands of NATO-backed, Al Qaeda-linked forces marks the end of a campaign expressly aimed at the assassination of a head of state and overthrow of a sovereign country in direct violation of international standards that have held sway since the Nuremberg trials at the end of World War IIand the establishment of the Geneva Conventions.
The NATO campaign, known as “Operation Unified Protector,” was a continuation of the US-led Operation Odyssey Dawn. It formally began on March 23rd, 2011 and was ostensibly an operation to enforce United Nations Security Council resolution 1973. From the outset, the NATO coalition partners insisted that the aim of the mission was not to assist a rebel insurgency in overthrowing the Gaddafigovernment, but to “protect civilians” in accordance with UN resolutions.
The real intention of the operation was revealed shortly thereafter, however, in a joint op-ed in the pages of the International Herald Tribune penned by Obama, Cameron and Sarkozy:
“Our duty and our mandate under U.N. Security Council Resolution 1973 is to protect civilians, and we are doing that. It is not to remove Qaddafi by force,” they wrote in their editorial. “But it is impossible to imagine a future for Libya with Qaddafi in power.[…]It is unthinkable that someone who has tried to massacre his own people can play a part in their future government.”
Within a month, the true aim of the intervention to assassinate Gaddafi was confirmed when NATO forces bombed the personal residence of Saif Al-Arab Gaddafi, Muammar’s youngest son in an admitted attempt to kill the Libyan leader himself. While Gaddafi himself was not caught in the strike, his son and three of his grandchildren were killed in the bombing.
Now it is confirmed that the strike that resulted in the death of Gaddafi was initiated, organized, coordinated and led by NATO and SAS forces. The attack began when Gaddafi was fleeing Sirte in a convoy of 75 vehicles. Drone pilots at Creech Air Force base in Nevada launched a round of Hellfire missiles from a Predator drone aircraft, destroying the lead vehicle and prompting a French bomber to release two laser-guided 500 pound bombs into the centre of the convoy. British SAS troops, meanwhile, coordinated the ground forces that eventually captured Gaddafi.
The news of Gaddafi’s death was greeted with elation by NATO leaders around the world and echoed by pundits and talking heads of every political persuasion. The ostensible justification for the entire campaign, however, the charge that Gaddafi was engaged in a “massacre” of his own people, has since been shown to be based on falsehoods, misrepresentations, and undocumented allegations.
The process that launched the intervention was begun by a coalition of 70 non-governmental organizations, which issue a joint letter urging the UN to suspend Libya from the Human Rights Council and for the Security Council to invoke the so-called “responsibility to protect” principle in protecting the Libyan people from alleged atrocities being committed by the Libyan government.
In a special session on the issue on February 25th, the UN Human Rights Council adopted a resolution affirming the NGOs recommendations. The resolution was adopted without a vote.
The Security Council immediately passed resolutions 1970 and 1973, authorizing the establishment of a “no-fly zone on Libyan military aviation” for the “protection of civilians” and the “delivery of humnanitarian assistance” in Libya. Three days later, using the resolution as its justification, the US, UK and France began bombing the population of Libya.
Meanwhile, the International Criminal Court’s Chief Prosecutor, Luis Moreno-Ocampo, began working on the legal basis for the invasion. He drafted the request for the Court’s judges to issue an arrest warrant for Gaddafi for crimes against humanity. Although NATO forces were already engaged in an invasion of the country on the basis of undocumented allegations by a group of NGOs, Moreno-Ocampo’s request was not issued until May 16th.
On June 28th, the day after the judges agreed to issue the warrant, Moreno-Ocampo participated in a press conference in which one reporter asked about the evidence that Gaddafi had ever engaged in the atrocities he was accused of.
Although the document that Moreno-Ocampo urges the public to read to understand the evidence of Gaddafi’s crimes is indeed public, and is 77 pages long, the version available has been heavily redacted. In fact, of the 77 pages, 53 of them have been redacted, comprising the entire section of the document dealing with the evidence for the charges for themselves.
As French analyst Thierry Meyssan points out in a recent article for the Voltaire Network republished on Global Research, this is not the first time Gaddafi has been villified on the international stage only to be exhonerated later.
As Meyssan notes, a German trial which pinned the 1986 bombing of a discotheque in Berlin which on Gaddafi and led to a US strike on his palace that resulted in the death of his daughter and 49 other civilians later turned out to have been a false conviction set up by a CIA agent, and the bomber himself turned out to be a Mossad agent.
In the case of the 1988 Lockerbie bombing, the chief Scottish investigator later admitted that the main piece of evidence in the case, the bomb timer, had actually been planted at the scene by a CIA agent, the “expert” who examined the timer admitted to manufacturing it himself, and the star witness who connected the bomb to the suitcase later admitted having received $2 million to lie on the stand.
Now, as Michel Chossudovsky of the Centre for Research on Globalization has pointed out, the NATO forces that have been bombing Libya relentlessly for the last seven months in the name of protecting the civilian population there are going to extract Libya’s wealth as the spoils of war by urging the new Libyan government to pay for the reconstruction of the country’s shattered infrastructure through debt, issued at the Libyan people’s expense, owed to the very NATO powers who destroyed that infrastructure in the first place.
The tragedy of the situation is revealed in a 2009 World Health Organization report which noted that Libya under Gaddafi had enjoyed some of the highest living standards in Africa. As the report noted, in 2009 Libyans enjoyed a life expectancy of over 72 years, a decline in child mortality from 70 per thousand live births to as low as 19 per thousand, universal access for primary education and the highest literacy and educational enrollment rates in North Africa.
Now, as Libya lies shattered and as old tribal tensions and rivalries seem destined to once again plunge Libya into strife and internal warring, the NATO-backed, UN-sanctioned National Transitional Council isclaiming that they will investigate their own alleged slaughter of pro-Gaddafi forces in Sirte, where Human Rights Watch is noting that as many as 53 Gaddafi supporters were executed in cold blood at the Mahari Hotel in recent weeks, their hands tied behind their backs as they were shot with AK-47s and FN-1s.
This even as US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton calls for an investigation into the death of Gaddafi, a brutal assassination of a prisoner of war in direct contradiction to the Geneva Conventions in which her own forces played a key role.
Although Gaddafi’s family is said to be willing to take the death of Colonel Gaddafi to the Hague, it is a foregone conclusion that the gears of international “justice” that were so quick to turn in the face of unsupported, undocumented assertions of Gaddafi’s war crimes will be gound to a halt in the face of this open and shut case of a documented, verifiable war crime. And it is beyond certain that, absent some fundamental change in international political relations, the court will never try the architects of this war–a brutal campaign of bombing against the very population that they were allegedly “protecting”–for their own part in international war crimes.

Video: Why The Rothschild killed Gaddafi?

“Our” total evil psychopathic leaders love showing the dead, only the former leaders of middle eastern countys; let them show the maimed, mangled, dead men, women, and children who lived there and did nothing wrong. The innocent people did not invite NATO, the military to kill them to save them from their so called evil dictator. War is a lie for already wealthy satanist psychopaths.
“Now, I am under attack by the biggest force in military history, my little African son, Obama wants to kill me, to take away the freedom of our country, to take away our free housing, our free medicine, our freeeducation, our free food, and replace it with American style thievery, called “capitalism”, but all of us in the Third World know what that means, it means corporations run the countries, run the world, and the people suffer.” – Muammar Gaddafi, quoted in English Pravda. THE BRUTAL MURDER of Muammar Gaddafi by Zionist-owned Libyan insurgents is an example of what happens to political leaders who defy international bankers. Muammar Gaddafi was a great man who loved his people! Nelson Mandela called Muammar Qadhafi “one of the 20th century’s greatest freedom fighters”, and insisted the eventual collapse of the apartheid system owed much to Qadhafi and Libyan support. Mandela said that, “in the darkest moments of our struggle, when our backs were to the wall, Muammar Qadhafi stood with us.”

Israeli Intelligence Sources: NATO Killed Qaddafi …

German Intelligence played a behind the scenes role on behalf of NATO
by Julie Lévesque
An article released by the Israeli intelligence news service DEBKAfilereveals NATO allies are competing “over who will take credit for his termination and therefore for ending the alliance’s military role in Libya”. (DEBKAfile, US and NATO allies vie over “kudos” for Qaddafi’s termination, October 24, 2011.)
According to DEBKA,
“American sources are willing to admit that US drones operated by pilots from Las Vegas pinpointed the fugitive ruler’s hideout in Sirte and kept the building under surveillance for two weeks, surrounded by US and British forces.
Both therefore had boots on the ground in breach of the UN mandate which limited NATO military intervention in Libya to air strikes.” (DEBKAfile, op.,cit.)
This contradicts NATO’s claims: “No NATO ground troops have participated in the operation – NATO’s success to date has been achieved solely with air and sea assets.” (NATO, NATO and Libya – Operation Unified Protector.)

According to the London Daily Telegraph, his [Qaddafi’s] presence in the convoy was first picked up by the USAF River Joint RC-135V/W intelligence signals plane, which passed the information to French warplanes overhead who then carried out the strike on Qaddafi’s vehicle. (DEBKAfile, op.,cit.)
The Israeli website also points out that theGermany’s Secret Service theBundesnachrichtendienst (BND) “played an important role in intelligence-gathering” in revealing where Qaddafi was hiding.
The report further states:
It was generally believed in Tripoli that the strongmen ruling the capital, Abdel Hakim Belhaj, ex-al Qaeda, and Ismail and Ali al-Sallabi, heads of the Libyan Muslim Brotherhood, only granted [Libya’s transitional leader] Abdul-Jalil’s wish for a big liberation rally in Benghazi after he agreed to declare the new Libya a Sharia state. (Ibid.)
This would mean that in reality, Libya’s new leaders are not the members of the National Transitional Council officially backed by NATO and promoted in the Western media as democrats. DEBKAfile‘s sources claim “the transitional leader will be little more than a figurehead”.
NATO’s stated objective in Libya has been “protecting civilians under threat of attack in Libya”. The Alliance declared that in early September “’Friends of Libya’ – heads of state and government as well as representatives of key international and regional organizations – met in Paris to discuss ways to aid Libya’s transition to a functioning democracy”. (NATO, op.,cit.)
However, Western “Friends of Libya” generally see Sharia law as incompatible with democracy.
DEBKA’s report concludes:
A primary objective of the Arab Spring as promoted by the United States and the Western Alliance is the substitution of those dictatorships by fundamental Muslim regimes whose leaders quite frankly usher Sharia law in to the liberated countries. (DEBKAfile, op.,cit.)
It should be noted that, in terms of public relations, Israel would profit from the presence of another Islamic regime, since Israel’s propaganda is largely based on the exisitence of  an alleged “hostile Muslim environment” in the Middle East.

Gaddafi Is Dead – Long Live The New World Order …

After several months of heavy fighting, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi is dead, he has been captured and killed following the fall of his home town of Sirte to Libyan revolutionary NTC forces.
Sorry let me rephrase that statement –
After several months of heavy  fighting, bombing and slaughter and destruction, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi is dead, he has been captured and murdered without trial following the fall of his home town of Sirte to Libyan revolutionary NTC forces, who in-turn were directed, funded and supported by the New World Order and their puppets, Barack Obama,David Cameron and Nicolas Sarkozy.
Now something tells me that headline will not be seen on any press report from the mainstream media!
Now onto the mainstream media and The Telegraph reported his demise as such:
Gaddafi cornered and killed by revolutionary forces Dictator captured in sewer after Nato strike • ‘Executed‘ with bullet to head • Pictures and video showing last moments

Sounds like an intro to a new Quentin Tarantino movie release! Will they provide popcorn and Cola at the video screening I ask myself?
And now onto the British Bullshit Corporation also known by the friendly and cuddly term the BBC:
Libya’s ex-leader Col Muammar Gaddafi has been killed after an assault on his birthplace of Sirte, officials say.
Much more modest and easier to digest by the large percentage of the British public who believed all the lies and hype spewed out by the UK government propaganda machine and their New World Ordermasters and backed up by their mainstream media lackeys (Def: someone who does menial tasks or runs errands for another).
This is the exact same public of this once “great” country who did not even bat an eyelid at the financial cost let alone the humanitarian one, of the so called “No Fly Zone” which was announced only a few weeks after a series of austerity measures were introduced by same said government due to the amount of debt the country is in! And what was the UK governments answer to the few raised voices of concern and disdain? “We have a contingency fund” for “killing people“, sorry scratch that “for emergencies such as this” apologies I must learn to stop translating government propaganda into the truth. Bad Kevin!
British Foreign Secretary William Hague said, he was very “pleased“ Gaddafi had been “removed“. Don’t you mean murdered without trial Mr Hague? Yes thats right wasn’t that the aim of the mission in the first place? Remember this little spat way back in March:
Yesterday a war of words erupted between the U.S. and Britain after the U.K. government claimedMuammar Gaddafi is a legitimate target for assassination.
U.K. government officials said killing the Libyan leader would be legal if it prevented civilian deaths as laid out in a U.N. resolution.
But U.S. defence secretary Robert Gates hit back at the suggestion, saying it would be ‘unwise‘ to target the Libyan leader adding cryptically that the bombing campaign should stick to the ‘U.N. mandate‘.
Reported The Daily Mail
What gives anyone the right to murder another human being because “they” think it is right, because “they” want to “prevent civilian deaths“, and then the exact same government officials promptly launch wave after wave of aerial bombings which in turn led to the killing of many of the “civilians” they were trying to protect. A touch of deja-vu here, wasn’t a very similar statement made before “Operation Iraqi Freedom“, an operation which resulted (and still is resulting) in the deaths of over a reported 100,000 civilians (source) while “freeing” them from the “evil dictator” Saddam Hussain on some very questionable evidence served up by the UK government and it’s allies in Washington. Are you beginning to see the similarities here, and what about those civilian deaths? Will the U.N authorise a coalition of the willing (I am sure there will be many offers) and the enforcement of a “no fly zone” in the U.S. UK and France to bring these evil murdering dictators to justice? Yes I do mean you Mr Barack Obama, Mr David Cameron and Mr Nicolas SarkozyWell my advice is, don’t hold your breath on that one!
My point is this, regardless of what anyone believes or what their opinions were, we are supposed to be an evolved race of human beings, an evolutionary process which should allow us to respect the right of “life”, the right of life for the civilians of Libya and a right of life to the accused by the accusers. I live in a country where the rule of law is more or less resoundingly respected, the UK was one of the first civilisations on the planet to have a written rule of law and the last time I looked assassination wasn’t on that list, yes that is directed to you Mr Hague. No matter how repulsive Muammar Gaddafi was, no matter how horrendously he treated his population, no matter how many terrorist organisations he supported, we still have no right as an advanced society to pursue and murder another human being regardless of who fired the final shot. The guilty are the ones who supplied the bullet and then provided the motivation to the person who pulled the trigger.
And finally on whether he should have been captured and put on trial for his crimes, I believe someone more powerful and encompassing than us all has a very strong opinion on the matter, I believe God stated “Thou shalt not kill“. I rest my case.
But hold on a minute, are we sure he is dead? Why say something like that I here you say, well read this and become enlightened:
The corporate media is going into paroxysms over the supposed death of Muammar Gaddafi without much evidence beyond a couple blurry video captures taken from a cell phone.
Writes Kurt Nimmo over at infowars.com
He then goes on state:
So far, there has been zero independent verification of the claim. The NTC – otherwise known as al-Qaeda – said earlier today it has whisked off the body to a secret location for “security reasons.”

Despite the lack of evidence, thecorporate media is now accepting Gaddafi’s death as fact. This is the same media that accepted the unconfirmed death of Osama bin Laden and told us Saddam had aluminum tubes of mass destruction.
Kurt has a very strong and valid point here. He continues with a very convincing argument for the reason behind the announcement of Gaddafi’s death today:
Mathaba claims “NATO and Clinton are desperate to show a ‘victory’ in Libya, by way of a compliant media, and the NTC is anxious to provide that ‘victory’ for their masters, in order to secure further support. The NTC leaders and their factions are all fighting amongst each other, and are dissatisfied with the spoils, which so far have not been forthcoming due to the armed population putting up a fierce resistance, and the globalist bankers being unable to keep their promises to the Libyan traitors.”
And in Kurts final comment, which we, and all Arab nations, should sit up and take notice of, especially you Mr Mahmoud Ahmadinejad:
The globalists hated Nasser because he was an Arab nationalist. They hate Gadaffi for much the same reason.
Hence my headline “Gadaffi is Dead Long Live The New World Order” but why? No, not why “Long Live The New World Order” (Their day of judgement will come) Why Gadaffi, Why Libya and why now?
Well read this excerpt from Pepe Escobar’s article in the “Asia Times Online” from way back in April 2011:
You invade Bahrain. We take out Muammar Gaddafi in Libya. This, in short, is the essence of a deal struck between the Barack Obama administration and the House of Saud. Two diplomatic sources at the United Nations independently confirmed that Washington, via Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, gave the go-ahead for Saudi Arabia to invade Bahrain and crush the pro-democracy movement in their neighbor in exchange for a “yes” vote by the Arab League for a no-fly zone over Libya – the main rationale that led to United Nations Security Council resolution 1973.
The revelation came from two different diplomats, a European and a member of the BRIC group, and was made separately to a US scholar and Asia Times Online. According to diplomatic protocol, their names cannot be disclosed. One of the diplomats said, “This is the reason why we could not support resolution 1973. We were arguing that Libya, Bahrain and Yemen were similar cases, and calling for a fact-finding mission. We maintain our official position that the resolution is not clear, and may be interpreted in a belligerent manner.”
As Asia Times Online has reported, a full Arab League endorsement of a no-fly zone is a myth. Of the 22 full members, only 11 were present at the voting. Six of them were Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)members, the US-supported club of Gulf kingdoms/sheikhdoms, of which Saudi Arabia is the top dog. Syria and Algeria were against it. Saudi Arabia only had to “seduce” three other members to get the vote.
Translation: only nine out of 22 members of the Arab League voted for the no-fly zone. The vote was essentially a House of Saud-led operation, with Arab League secretary general Amr Moussa keen to polish his CV with Washington with an eye to become the next Egyptian President.
Humanitarian imperialists will spin en masse this is a “conspiracy”, as they have been spinning the bombing of Libya prevented a hypothetical massacre in Benghazi. They will be defending the House of Saud – saying it acted to squash Iranian subversion in the Gulf; obviously R2P – “responsibility to protect” does not apply to people in Bahrain. They will be heavily promoting post-Gaddafi Libya as a new – oily – human rights Mecca, complete with US intelligence assetsblack opsspecial forcesand dodgy contractors.
Thus, in the beginning, there was the great 2011 Arab revolt. Then, inexorably, came the US-Saudi counter-revolution. Reported Pepe Escobar Apr 2nd 2011
It never ceases to amaze me how easily you can uncover the New World Order’s agendas by just a little scratching of the surface. Here we see them get three birds with one stone, a warped and flawed legitimacy to begin a war with Libya, the next Egyptian leader all groomed and ready for office and a major puppet of the U.S. pressing it’s will and influence on Bahrain and the reward, well it is another piece of the Globalist Agenda jigsaw put into place. The never ending creep of the Globalist Agendasweeps ever closer to total take over of the Middle East and subjugation of it’s people.

Conclusion

Muammar Gaddafi was far from what is expected of a civilised leader of a modern country should be, he was a political dictator and a tyrant who ruled with an iron fist and persecuted any opponents of his regime. He exported terror around the world, mostly to the west, supplied arms and explosives to any terrorist organisation who wanted them, who in-turn used these new deadly tools to kill and maim many innocent people in their pursuit of their own individual causes. Yes the world is probably better off without him, did he deserve to be murdered without a fair trial, well that will be on the concious of those who instigated the war. Somehow I do not believe they will lose much sleep over the circumstances surrounding his demise while they sleep in their comfortable, clean, luxurious and warm beds.
So where do the Nation and peoples of Libya go from here?
Well that’s where I despair, as Pepe Escobar noted Libya will be “a new – oily – human rights Mecca, complete with US intelligence assetsblack opsspecial forces and dodgy contractors
Yes thats a lot of “Power“, “Influence” and of course “Money” God forbid should we not forget the black gold “Oil”  sounds like a very similar situation to a country not too far away from Libya!
And caught in the crossfire least we forget those “innocent civilians” the venerable William Haguementioned earlier, what fate lies ahead for the population? Are they to share the same fate as their neighbours in the death ridden and not to distant Iraq? Will the winning of their freedom also bring the winning of their “death and suffering” as a grand prize for freedom and democracy, U.S. and UK style of course.
I pray not, the world, especially after today’s news, is ever more descending into a large killing field, fuelled by an elite hell bent on global domination and the subversion of it’s people. I pray the people of Libya return that particular prize back to it’s presenters and so called saviours who delivered them from tyranny. Replacing one megalomaniac with another i am sure is not what the people of Libya were expecting as an outcome of ousting Gaddafi from power.
Last Note:
This from The Telegraph:
19.32 GMT Nato has told Reuters they will end the Libyan mission.
The Libyan “rule of fear” is finally over, it said, urging Libyans to put aside their differences Nato said the mission will be brought to an end in coordination with the UN and NTC.

It may be over in Libya for NATO but who is next on their “Hit List”? Are you reading this Mr Ahmadinejad?
